About ImageAdjust: free image tools in your browser

A pine forest in late sun, the palette of this site
A person in warm light, the kind of photo you might publish

ImageAdjust exists because the default path for "make this smaller" became: open a colorful site, create an account you will forget, upload a file you should not have uploaded, wait, download a ZIP, empty the recycle bin of the original anyway. That path is fine for a meme. It is a poor fit for client work, unreleased products, and any photo that contains a street, a child, or a badge.

The other default is a professional tool that assumes you enjoy codecs. Squoosh is a gift to people who want to compare MozJPEG and AVIF side by side. Most marketers do not. Most developers, on a Wednesday, do not either. They want the image to fit the column, weigh less, and leave the machine.

So this site does two things in a deliberate order. The homepage is the compressor, because that is the job. Below it, and in the toolkit, the rest of the work is classified: for marketers, for developers, and the five most-used utilities. Pages are written as pages - not a thin template with the tool name swapped - because search engines and humans both notice when you have nothing to say.

Image tools that do not upload your files

ImageAdjust runs compress, resize, convert, and the rest of the toolkit in your browser. Pixels never go to our servers. Pixels should still match the layout. Formats should match the content. Share cards should be JPEG or PNG until crawlers catch up. A picture tag should describe files that exist.

What ImageAdjust is not (Photoshop, CDN, upload API)

It is not Photoshop. It is not a cloud CDN. It is not an API that will ingest your media library. If you need those, they are easy to find. If you need to adjust a set of images for a site you already have, you are in the right tab.

Compress, resize, and convert in the browser

Drop the file at the top. Read the controls. Download. Then use the article below the workspace: sizes, a code sample you can paste, and answers we actually get asked. The JSON catalog at /api/tools is for people who want the list of URLs, not the pixels.

Frequently asked questions

What is ImageAdjust?

A set of free image tools that run in your browser. Compress, resize, convert, crop, and related jobs happen on this device. We do not upload your files.

Who are ImageAdjust image tools for?

People who publish photos on websites, ads, product pages, and docs. Marketers who need social sizes. Developers who need srcset, Base64, and a clean EXIF strip.

Are ImageAdjust image tools free?

Yes. No account, no daily cap from us. Browser limits still apply: a huge camera dump may slow the tab.

Do you store the photos I process?

No. Pixels never reach our servers. Theme preference can sit in localStorage. The contact form sends only the text you type.

How is this different from Squoosh or Photoshop?

Squoosh is a codec lab. Photoshop is an editor. ImageAdjust is a publishing bench: fit the layout, pick a format, write the tag, drop the GPS. Pages are written as pages, not a thin template with the tool name swapped.

Can I request a new tool?

Yes, if the missing piece is about publishing, not novelty. Use the contact form. We will not add an upload-based background remover.
